The Software République incubator looks back on a successful year and unveils new incubated startups

Paris, 7th November 2023

  • In 12 months, the Software République incubation programme has enabled 70% of incubated startups to transform their innovation into real genuine projects.
  • 4 new startups are to join the incubator to work on innovative and sustainable mobility: EMBODME, EYE-NET, MATVISIO, MOBILITY METRIX.
  • 24 startups have been selected for the next stage of a new concept of mobility and services, intended to bring them closer to citizens.

On its annual incubator meeting, Software République and its founding partners came together to celebrate the success of the incubated startups, 70% of which have turned their innovation into real genuine projects in just 12 months. These included collaborative projects bringing together startups and major groups, with innovations coming from the “H1st vision” concept car, an electric vehicle charging point, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) applications and including mobility services for local authorities.

The event also provided an opportunity to present the 4 new startups now joining the Software République Incubation Programme: EMBODME, EYE-NET, MATVISIO and MOBILITY-METRIX.

The Software République also announced the success of its latest call for projects (Concept Vehicle ’24), with 24 candidates selected for the next stage. This demonstrates the desire of Software République to expand into new areas of technological development, so making mobility more innovative, safer, sustainable, and more accessible to all. The aim of this project is to devise a new concept of mobility and services so bringing them closer to the public. Following on from H1st vision, it is through this project that the next level of technological innovations of the Software République will be demonstrated.

Startups are identified exclusively based on potential collaborations on concrete business projects with several partners. With direct access to the experts of 6 founding members and the facilitation of SWR governance, the transformation rate is very high (70%)

When it comes to the sourcing of startups, the Software République is fully open with regular calls for projects, spontaneous applications, meetings at trade fairs (CES, Vivatech, Slush….) and via the 11 associated ecosystem partners.

“The Software République incubator is unique in the direct access it gives startups to experts from 6 major tech groups. Now its focus is on delivering further business projects, thus making it a success story, strengthening its appeal,” said Eric Feunteun COO of the Software République.

The 4 new startups incubated for 2023/24 are :

EMBODME (https://www.embodme.com/)

Already well known in the world of music, Embodme is now tackling hygiene issues in vehicles or shared screens. They have imagined a new in-car experience where touching surfaces is no longer a necessity, thanks to a technology that can be integrated into screens at pixel level (OLED or microLED screens) or into any other surface to make it interactive.

EYE-NET (https://www.eyenet-mobile.com/)

Based on advanced algorithms and predictive models connecting vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and motorbikes, Eye-Net enables vulnerable people to be protected in real time by warning them of potential nearby dangers. The startup targets to revolutionise road safety.

MATVISIO (https://www.matvisio.com/)

Using a 3D camera and dedicated intelligence, MATVISIO helps to prevent and reduce musculoskeletal disorders by observing, identifying and visualising ‘bad’ posture at work and in the car, in real time. The use of this on-board solution is aimed at helping users to correct their posture with a view to improving their health.

MOBILITY-METRIX (https://www.mobility-metrix.fr/)

Mobility-Metrix helps local authorities, operators, and businesses to make and monitor decisions concerning their mobility initiatives, thanks to a database incorporating all modes of transport (car, public transport, cycle, walking, freight).
